Infection-preventing surface functionalisation for long-term indwelling central venous catheters ‘OZeKa’
The long-established Hechingen-based company Joline, one of the global leaders in the field of dialysis catheters, and the renowned Natural and Medical Sciences Institute (NMI) at the University of Tübingen are working closely together as part of a research project funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BmBF). The project was set up to research new surfaces for vascular catheters with the intention of sustainably reducing the susceptibility to infection of medical products located within the heart.
