Groundbreaking ceremony for the new Joline headquarters in Hechingen
The construction work of the new headquarters of the Hechingen-based company Joline, which has been operating very successfully in the medical technology sector since 1999, has started. The new Joline company building at Schnellengarten 11 in Hechingen marks another significant milestone and ensures further growth.
The ground-breaking ceremony was held on 12.11.2024 by the building owner Lars Sunnanväder, his two daughters Annika and Monika Sunnanväder, his Facility Manager Otto Wendland and Joline CEOs Christian Keller and Michael Eisenlohr, who are also in charge of the project management for the new facility. Also at the spade, Technical Manager Jürgen Baumeister and Project Manager Thomas Silberberger from Fertigbau Wochner (FBW) in Dormettingen (Germany) as well as Tim Gfrörer from Gfrörer Bau. Also, the Mayor from Hechingen Philipp Hahn did not miss this milestone and reached for the spade. “Due to the company’s steady growth, there is now an urgent need for us to expand the production, storage and office space and adapt it our requirements,” said the two CEOs. The investors in the project are the client’s two daughters, Monika and Annika Sunnanväder. Lars Sunnanväder is responsible for the success of many companies based in Hechingen.
As an experienced general contractor, FBW is responsible for the planning and construction of the new building. The building comprises two floors with around 2,000 sqm of production and storage space, as well as 2,000 sqm of office space, and is designed for over 100 employees. Before the end of this year, extensive preparatory measures will be carried out on the construction site. In order to meet the high fire protection requirements due to the different areas of use, the building project will be constructed using a solid prefabricated construction method. The production of medical implants has the highest hygiene requirements and therefore requires a sophisticated ventilation system for the modern facility. Furthermore, the latest standards for energy efficiency are also met. Three experienced specialist planning offices were used to plan the sophisticated building services. With the move into the new premises in 2026, Joline’s successful course will continue with significantly increased potential. In addition to the new building at Schnellengarten 11, the existing buildings at Neue Rottenburger Str. 50 (with clean room) and 48, which are only a few meters away, will remain and continue to be used.
